Foils and security holograms are considered to be one of the best visible deterents against reproduction frauds. Verification is instant and simple - all you need is your eyes!

Laser Printers

The heat from laser printers can cause foils and holograms to crack or dull.
If you intend to process foil/hologrammed stationery through a laser printer you are advised to do a test first using these sample sheets.
Remember, no foil/hologram can be guaranteed to withstand very high laser temperatures.

Test Method - 6 Steps

• Retain one of these sheets.
• Process the balance through your laser printer.
• Important - run your laser printer at its hottest, i.e. the end of a high print run.
• Compare the laser printed sheets with the retained, unprocessed sheet.
• If the laser printed samples have 'dulled' then the foil/hologram process is not suitable for your laser printer.
• Make your own decision.

All of the following security holograms belong to ONE security printer who retains exclusive access and security control/storage of the materials.

The holograms below appear to be duplicated but they are made up using different materials/adhesives, some of which are more hot laser resistant than others.

If, after testing through your laser printer, a specific hologram retains its brightness more than the others then it should be considered for your stationery and stated by reference on your Enquiry / Order.

This is an origination method which comprises fine lines arranged to create a relief or 3D effect. Commonly used in Bank Note designs because they cannot be accurately forged with standard origination software. Here, the technique has been uniquely applied to the foiling process to create a sophisticated security deterrent.
