Two- tone - Thick & thin areas in the paper with the same heights & depths - Only black and white.
Multi-tone - Thick & thin areas in the paper with varying heights & depths - different shade values. |

UV dull paper:
CBS is the common title used by paper grades which conform to UK Clearing Banks Specification Number 2.
Ideal for Bank Giro Credit Forms, Data Mailers and Remittance Advice Note. |
Chemical coatings: Chemicals contained in the paper produce a reaction when solvents or agents are used to attack and alter a document. A simple but effective security feature. Cheque paper (CBS1) is sensitised to APACS standard 3.1.
- Standard – reaction to acid, acid, alkali, polar organic solvents & bleaches (APACS)
- Extra – with additional reaction to solvents (non-polar)
- Extra TK – with additional reaction to ink eradicator (pen)
- Super TK – with additional reaction to ink eradicator (liquid)

Threads / fibres: A range of colours & lengths, visible in daylight, fluorescent under UV light, dual colours or rainbow (4 colours)
